Equinotherapy
The target of our work is to improve the quality of life of the patient across the horse that functions of therapeutic mediator, capable of generating positive physical and psychic sensations.
By means of the equine therapy we want to transmit energy, dynamism and happiness to facilitate the social integration and to reach a high level of autonomy of the individual.
The equine therapy can be considered to be an integral therapy, which not only full fills functions physiotherapy, but also it offers wide benefits in the psychological area. It is possible to use like complementary therapy to other physical therapies or psychotherapies, although there has been gained an important place as alternative therapy of both because it expires with targets both of physical therapy and of psychotherapy.
The equine therapy is a therapy that it uses to the horse as therapeutic instrument, which in his march to the step, reproduces in similarity the human march. It includes the integration of four professional different ambiences: The medicine, the psychology, the learning and the sport.
Exercises during therapeutic games
The exercises of neuromuscular applied during the amount reinforce and complement the therapeutic effect and support the regulation of the muscular tone, the decrease of the tonic effects, the corporal symmetry, the stabilization of the body, and the development of elasticity, agility and muscular force.
During the activity the patient and the therapist carry out the exercises and games between them, without forgetting the therapeutic intention. The games played between the partners encourage the social interaction, benefiting the social area.
The games and exercises are directed to different areas: emotional, coordination of physical activity, etc.
